SV drugs/firearm arrests are made

SPRING VALLEY — Six Bureau County residents have been arrested following an investigation at a Spring Valley residence.

On April 20, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotic Team and the Illinois Valley Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 216 W. Dakota St. in Spring Valley. At the time of the search warrant, there were a number of people and dogs in the residence.

TRI-DENT arrested six people at the residence and filed the following charges: Caitlin M. Panas, 21, of Spring Valley and Matt A. Persich, 23, of Spring Valley were charged with the Class 2 felony of unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, heroin. Lindsey N. Roberts, 26, of Princeton and Andres Mendez, Jr., 30, of rural Spring Valley, were charged with the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, heroin. Jermal L. Turner, no age given, of Spring Valley was charged with the Class 2 felony of an unlawful possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine. Micah I. W. Morganflash, 22, of Spring Valley was charged with the Class A misdemeanor of having no valid firearms identification card, after he was found in possession of a handgun without a FOID card.

All subjects were transported to the Bureau County Jail.
