There was some fireworks at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course over the Fourth of July celebration.
Scott Hartman of Princeton recorded a hole-in-one on the No. 17 on July 3. He was using his wedge, witnessed by John Baldridge of Princeton.
It was Hartman’s third hole-in-one and the first of the season at Hunter’s Ridge.
Katie Farrell brought in the Fourth of July by breaking her own course record for the women’s tees with a 18-hole score of 70. She set the record at 71 a year ago, eclipsing the 72 that current LPGA Futures Tour pro Carrie Riordan shot in 2009.
The men’s course record off the blue tees, 64, was set by Dusty Drenth of Davenport, Iowa, then a teammate of Princeton’s Danny Nelson on the St. Ambrose University golf team.
