Eldon Griffin

SHEFFIELD — Eldon V. “Fat” Griffin, 96, of Sheffield died Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Princeton.

Surviving are one daughter, Penny (Griffin) Beth of Rockwall, Texas; three grandchildren, Christopher (Sheri) Beth of Fate, Texas, Scott (Dana) Griffin of Omaha, Neb., and Stacy (Brant) Dunaway of Tucson, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Seth, Lauren, Olivia and Mitchell Griffin of Omaha, Neb., and Savannah and Griffin Beth of Fate, Texas; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Roger; and five brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 6 at the First United Church of Christ, Sheffield, with the Rev. Mary Gay McKinney officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the Sheffield Historical Society or the Sheffield Public Library.

The Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Sheffield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
