PRINCETON — Katherine Chamberlain has opened a law office in Princeton at 308 Park Ave. West in the building that formerly held the Greg Bowman Law Office.
"We have family roots in Princeton," she said. "I decided to move here and open my own business by buying this building and establishing my practice."
Chamberlain's mother is a graduate of Princeton High School, and she married Chamberlain's father in Princeton. They moved back to Princeton five years ago from Alabama and are small business owners.
The focus of Chamberlain's law office will be wills, guardianships and real estate closings, she stated.
"I have been super busy the first month the office has opened," she said. "The community has supported me and my law colleagues have been supportive. They have helped me in countless ways."
Chamberlain said this is her first job after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law in May of 2009. She also earned her master of science in library and information science from the University of Illinois in December of 2010. She earned her bachelor of arts in English from the University of Alabama in May of 2006.
"I am really excited to be in Princeton," she added. "I like the small town atmosphere and plan to make my career here."
She is a member of the Bureau County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Chamberlain is also the vice chair of the Princeton Home Rule Committee and a member of the Princeton Jaycees, Prairie Arts Council and Friends of the Princeton Public Library.
Her office hours are from 9 a .m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday or by appointment. She can be reached at 815-915-8351. Her website address is www.chamberlainpc.com, while her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
