Taylor admitted to Illinois Bar

SPRINGFIELD — Elizabeth A. Taylor, formerly of Spring Valley, was admitted to the Illinois State Bar Nov. 10 in the Fourth District in Springfield. Justice Rita B. Garman presided over the ceremony held in the Michael J. Holwett Auditorium.

Taylor graduated magna cum laude with pro bono notation from the University of Illinois College of Law in May. While in law school, she was active in many activities including the University of Illinois Elder Law Journal and Women’s Law Society. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2008 and Hall High School in 2004.

She is the daughter of James and Billie Jean Taylor and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Lust, all of Spring Valley.

Taylor has accepted a position as an assistant state’s attorney in Champaign County, where she is now residing.
