Ellen Resetich
SPRING VALLEY — Ellen Resetich, 88, of rural Spring Valley died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born June 2, 1923, in Chicago to Barney and Nellie (O'Keefe) Ziano, she married John Resetich June 14, 1947, at Sacred Heart Church in Granville. He died Aug. 21, 2010.
She had worked at Sampsels in Spring Valley, then at Westclox in Peru and retired from Harper-Wyman in Princeton.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Spring Valley and Hopkins High School Alumni Association. She was a graduate of Hopkins High School.
Surviving are one son, Mike (Laurie) Resetich of DePue; one daughter, Sandy Resetich of Rolling Meadows; and one grandson, Troy Resetich.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, George Ziano.
Services will be at noon Thursday at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, and at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Robert Spilman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, DePue.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
