Kathleen Henson

STERLING — Kathleen M. Henson, 87, of Sterling died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the Sterling Pavillion.

Born Sept. 26, 1924, in Dixon to Dewey and Marie (Mannon) Adolph, she married Lawrence Henson in 1942 in Dixon. He died Dec. 9, 2003.

She was a LPN with CGH Medical Center in Sterling for 20 years, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Carol Michlig of Princeton; one son, Larry (Carol) Henson of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Sterling Pavillion or the American Heart Association.

The McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls is in charge of arrangements.
