Eitens celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Eiten of 202 S. Chicago Ave., Ladd, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 5 with a family gathering hosted by their children.

Lyle R. Eiten and the former Ellen Knauf were united in marriage Nov. 3, 1951, in St. Benedict’s Church in Ladd by the Rev. Norbert Tiebesar, now deceased. A reception at the Hotel Kaskaskia, LaSalle, followed the ceremony.

They are the parents of three children, Gary (Mary Alice) Eiten of Peru, Don, now deceased, (Karen) of Peru and Nick (Chris) of Highlands Ranch, Colo. They also have 10 grandchildren.
