Manlius Fire Department meets
MANLIUS — Fifteen Manlius Fire Department members met for their January meeting.
A thank you note and donation check were received from Bernard Martin for a recent fire and a thank you note was received from Bureau County United Way for the department’s check to the Christmas for Kids Toy Drive.
The department received a $250 grant from the Walmart Distribution Center in Spring Valley by employee Aaron Roush for volunteer hours served for the Manlius Fire Department.
Donation checks were received from First Baptist Church of Manlius, Lester Kropf and Ann Gripp.
Amboy Fire Department will hold an ambulance extrication school March 31.
Fire Chief Bob Neahring presented years of service pins to Larry Rowland, 35 years; Chris Maynard, 15 years; Mike Rowland, Aaron Roush and Marc Fordham, 10 years; and Dexter Hansen and Steve Michlig for five years. Attendance awards went to Bob Neahring, B.J. Jensen and Justin Doty.
The next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the fire house. Lunch committee will be Greg Allen and Larry Lee Rowland.
