SPRINGFIELD — Jane Elizabeth Cox Turner, 90, of Springfield, formerly of Princeton, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Born Feb. 14, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, Ky., the daughter of Robert and Bessie (Hauk) Cox, she married Roy Turner. He preceded her in death.

She was a 1942 graduate of Berea College in Berea, Ky.

Surviving are three children, Dale Turner of Oak Park, Linda Fatehi of Kennesaw, Ga., and Sam Turner of Springfield; four grandchildren, Alison Duray, Justine Turner, Shireen Fatehi and Shannon Thorstenson; and one great-grandson, T.J. Duray.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Tom Turner.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Springfield Southern Baptist Church, 225 N. Grand Ave. East, Springfield, with the Rev. Michael J. Keppler officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Springfield Southern Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

The Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. Fifth St. Springfield, is in charge of arrangements.
