TISKILWA — Dora Mae Philhower, 91, of Tiskilwa died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at home.
Born Nov. 21, 1920, in Raywick, Ky., to Joseph and Mattie (Allen) Sullivan, she married Charles W. Philhower May 27, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He survives.
She was the co-owner and operator of Philhower Electric, Plumbing and Heating in Tiskilwa.
She was a member of the Tiskilwa Methodist Church and Loyal Daughters, and was a Cub Scout pack leader for three years.
Also surviving are one daughter, Charlene (Bill ) Hall of Tiskilwa; two sons, Bill (Susan) Philhower of Geneseo and Randy Philhower of Tiskilwa; two granddaughters, Donita (Max) Olds of Wyanet and Lindsay (Brandon) Sierens of Tiskilwa; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Georgia Philpott; and one brother-in-law, Clarence Phipott.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Mike Able, pastor of Tiskilwa Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Tiskilwa Community Church.
