Legion meeting set

SPRING VALLEY — The regular meeting of the Dominic OBerto American Legion Post will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Knights of Columbus rooms, 307 W. St. Paul St.

Home Rule meeting

PRINCETON — The Princeton Residents for Self Reliance will hold a Home Rule Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bureau County Metro Center.

Pancake breakfast

LAMOILLE — An all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast sponsored by the LaMoille Lions Club will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Club, 308 Howard St. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 10. Children under 5 are free.

Reunion set

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The 39th annual Arizona Bureau County Reunion will be Feb. 23 at The Hometown Buffet, 1312 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Ariz. This will be an all-you-can-eat buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information, contact Betty Anne McInnes at 602-870-7754.

Candidate sessions

SPRING VALLEY — Christine Benson (D-Ottawa), candidate for Illinois Senate 38th District, will host a series of “Candidate on the Corner” sessions. Informal gatherings will be Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at McDonalds in Spring Valley and from 1 to 3 p.m. at Starbucks in Peru. The purpose of the meetings is to hear from constituents and listen to what their concerns are.
