Comments (...)BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Dr. Norman L. Shettel of Brookville, N.Y., originally of Princeton, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012.
Beloved husband of Helen (Gayer). Loving father of Brandon. Dearest son of Caryl, now 90 years of age and the late Ned Shettel. Dear brother of Nancy Powell, Connie Campbell and the late Crayton Shettel. Fond brother-in-law of Chris Powell and Andrew Tarantino.
Reposing at the Beney Funeral Home Inc. of Syosset, 79 Berry Hill Road. Visiting from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday; religious service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Brookville Reform Church in Brookville, N.Y. Interment in Locust Valley Cemetery.

Dr. Norm was the "Norman Rockwell of Vets." Always giving advice & explanations in a patient & practical manner. He treated my horses for over 20 years. I spoke to him on this Saturday past as my Blackie was colicing. My last conversation with him. Both he and my mare passed to greener pastures on the same day. My heart goes out to the family. He was the best! |
