Margery Cordrey

BUDA — Margery Cordrey, 84, of Buda died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, in Mission, Texas.

Born Jan. 6, 1928, in Ohio, Ill., to Harold and Genevieve Johnson, she attended schools in Ohio, Ill., and LaMoille, and Illinois State University in Normal.

She married Verle Lawery and moved to California. She was employed by State Farm Insurance. She came to Buda to care for her parents. In May 1988 she married Earl Cordrey. She and Earl enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending the winters in Texas. They were members of the Good Sam's organization. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Sheffield.

Surviving are her husband, Earl; her children, Valerie and Mark; two stepdaughters, Connie Feurer and Nancy Hill; one grandson, Kurt; two great-grandchildren, Kayana and Sieanna; two sisters, Marita Jaggers and Phyllis Johnson; and one brother, Robert H. Johnson.

A service will be held at a later date.
