Recent Neponset Grade School fourth- through sixth-grade D.A.R.E graduates include Steven Horner (from left), Levi Shores, Paige Weida, Celeste Martinez, Liam Rychitarik, Isiah Verbout, Deputy Dan Smith, Elijah Davis, Nathan Thumma, Brooklynn Carpenter, Brittney Manning, Kelli Kraft, Nyk Minton and Michah Reader. Austin Collins is absent from photo. For the past 10 weeks these students have been involved in the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program led by Deputy Sheriff Smith. Students were required to apply what they learned from D.A.R.E. to write an essay and create a poster demonstrating what D.A.R.E. has taught them. Fourth-grader, Kelli Kraft received first place on her poster and sixth-grader Paige Weida won first place on her essay.
