Lots of talk on the street about Sunday’s Super Bowl. Wow! Besides the game, I hope you had some time to hang out with family and friends for this annual event and enjoy some great company, good food and make some memories.
What about that halftime show? I read somewhere that Madonna is 18 years older than the oldest football player (35) in the game. I found that interesting. I’ve heard a lot of negative chat about her lip-syncing, but it didn’t bother me a bit. And what about those commercial? I think the Clint Eastwood ad was hands-down my favorite. A Facebook friend said it best ... “It showed what good can result when we put our heads together. Anybody that bets against American ingenuity, American exceptionalism and the American worker is gonna come out on the losing end. Every time.”

Thought for the day: “We didn’t lose the game; we just ran out of time.” Coach Vince Lombardi.

There were so many things I wanted to accomplish during the cold days of winter — drawers and closets to clean out, books to read, clothes to sort ... my list was endless. And now, it’s already February, and my list is nearly untouched. Ugh! Tick ... tick ... tick ... the clock keeps moving, doesn’t it? Guess we all need to take time for ourselves.
Thanks for being an important part of your hometown newspaper. And remember ... you are important to me and the BCR.
