Taco supper

MINERAL — The Mineral Gold Fire Department will hold a taco supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Mineral Community Hall. This firefighter’s fundraiser will also include a 50/50 and raffles. Carry-out orders will be available.

Support group

PRINCETON — Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will host its monthly grief and loss support group at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the chapel at Perry Memorial Hospital In Princeton. Anyone that has lost a loved one is invited to attend.

Wine tasting

BRADFORD — Shallowbrook Farm in rural Bradford will hold a wine tasting from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 27. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door. For tickets or more information, call 309-897-8437.

Committee meeting

SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield Playground Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 1 at the movie theater in Sheffield. The meeting is open to anyone who is interested in helping to bring a new playground to Veterans Park. The business for the night will be to pick two playground companies to come out to give us ideas, suggestions and estimates at the next meeting date. Anyone who has any questions or would like to have input on the decisions for this playground should plan on attending or call Connie Hahne at 815-454-2060.

Pancake breakfast

BUDA — The Buda Fire Department will have a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Buda Community Hall.

Movie night

DOVER — Dover Bible Church will show the inspirational film “The Time Changer” at its movie night beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday. There is no charge, but canned goods for the Food Pantry will be collected. There will be popcorn and soda available. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
