PRINCETON — Princeton Police Chief Tom Root has issued his activity report for January.

Officers responded to 870 calls and handled 42 ambulance assists, nine fire assists, 17 police assists, answered 18 alarms, eight funeral escorts, 12 thefts, eight criminal damage calls and 62 motorist assists. Officers made 34 traffic arrests and 18 non-traffic arrests, and issued 33 warnings and 40 parking tickets. Arrests included two for assault, one for domestic battery, four for theft, four for drugs, one for drug paraphernalia, two for speeding, five for no valid driver’s license, and three for driving with a suspended/revoked license.

Police handled 19 accidents, including two with injuries, two with property damage, and four with under $500 reports.
