Robert Dall
PRINCETON — Robert M. Dall, 83, of Princeton passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Henry.
He was born June 14, 1928, in Dallas, S.D., to George Dall II and Josephine (Lewis) Dall. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1946. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1954 as an aircraft mechanic. He married Lois Ann Campbell on April 30, 1952, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton. She died Nov. 16, 1993.
He worked at Champion for over 40 years where he held several positions, such as branch plant manager and traffic manager. He was an associate of the Sisters of Mary of the Presentation, he was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Knights of Columbus and involved in the Cursillo Movement. He loved to collect clocks and eagles, he loved to go garage saling and puttering around in his garage. He was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church.
Bob is survived by his four children, Mary Ann (Mike) Johnson of Princeton, Linda Sue (Jim) Burrows of Ottawa, William Joseph (Jeanne) Dall of Rockford and Carol Jean Dall of Princeton; six grandchildren, Mark (Susan) Johnson of Tiskilwa, Mick (Krisi) Johnson of Princeton, Jamie (Jack) Ferguson of Ottawa, Joseph Burrows of Peoria, Heather (Matt) Rothermel of Loves Park and Brianna (Joe) Clementz of Ann Arbor, Mich.; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Neva (Charles) Lucas of Tiskilwa and Alma (Richard) Bradley of Wyanet; and one brother, George (Dorothy) Dall III of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one grandson, Jacob Dall on Jan. 2, 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton, with Father Jeffery Stirniman officiating. Burial will be private and at a later date.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Louis Church or School.
