LADD — Preschool story times are held at the Ladd Public Library at 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Monday of each month. Programs are designed for 2-5 year olds with a parent or guardian. Information on these, and all library programs, may be found at www.laddlibrary.com or on Facebook.
LAMOILLE — George Washington’s birthday is Feb. 22. Learn about presidents and more at the LaMoille-Clarion Public Library’s story hour at 6 p.m. Feb. 15. Share stories, craft and snack with Sara Hildebrand.
OHIO — The Ohio Public Library District is going to be featuring “presidential” themed books in honor of Lincoln and Washington’s birthdays during February.
In addition, the library is holding a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 4 at Rip’s in Ladd. Tickets are available at the library or from any board member for $6. A raffle and 50/50 drawing will be held at this time as well.
PRINCETON — The BMP Special Education Co-op will meet at the Princeton Public Library at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, and the Friends of the Library Book Club will meet at 4 p.m. to discuss “Shanghai Girls” by Lisa See.
Pastors Wives will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
On Monday, the Monday Night Movie, which will be shown at 6:30 p.m., is a 1940s classic upper-crust comedy.
On Tuesday, a preschool story hour will be held at 10:30 a.m. The theme is Valentines. All area preschoolers and parents or guardians are welcome to attend. Also, Talk About: Victorian Parlor Games, Activities and Treats will be at 6:30 p.m. Stop by after your Valentine’s supper and enjoy games and refreshments.
On Feb. 16, Business Leads Team will meet at noon; Gamma Phi will meet at 4:15 p.m.; the Regency/English Dance Party: Learn to dance like in the era of Jane Austin will be at 6:30 p.m.; and the Quilters Guild will meet at 7 p.m.
SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield Public Library is requesting donations of DVD movies and audio books. Slightly used or new copies would be appreciated. Drama, historical, comedy, family, documentaries, fiction or non-fiction (any) are sought. These donations would be greatly appreciated and are deductible. SPRING VALLEY — The Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library holds a story hour at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday for all preschool through first grade children.
WYANET — Jan Pistole, cardiac rehab coordinator at Perry Memorial Hospital, will celebrate American Heart Month by visiting the Raymond A. Sapp Library and talking about Women’s Heart Health during the Library’s 2nd Thursday@the Library program in February. She will show a PowerPoint presentation and share interesting information on heart health that everyone, not only women, can use to be or become more conscious of their heart health. The presentation will occur at 6:30 p.m. today, Thursday. There will be refreshments from heart healthy recipes.
The library’s Computer Class will take place at 1 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday. Dorene Stalter will be on hand for the usual questions and help with one’s computer and accessories. The public is welcome to join the class.
The library’s Book Group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. In February, the group will get together to discuss “Olive Kitteridge” by Elizabeth Strout at 7 p.m. Feb. 23. The book discussions always seem to be lively and of course, all are invited to join the group.
