Princeton Christian Academy opens registration Feb. 20-24
PRINCETON — Princeton Christian Academy will officially open its 2012-13 registration for new students during the week of Feb. 20–24. The school invites any family interested in enrolling their children in PCA to visit classes, examine the curriculum, and tour the facility any time during that week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is advised that a call ahead may avoid any schedule conflicts.
The school will also host an evening open house from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 24. All teachers will be in their classrooms, curriculum will be laid out for viewing, tours will be given and refreshments will be served.
Princeton Christian Academy offers classes for children in preschool through eight grade with a full range of curriculum and activities. Besides the core subjects of math, science, language arts, and history, the Academy also offers Bible, Spanish, computer, art, music and speech/drama for all grade levels. Band is available for students in fourth through eighth grades.
Students are encouraged to compete in volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball and track, as well as in academic competitions of creative writing, spelling, speech, art, music and science.
Since the inception of Princeton Christian Academy in 1981, the curriculum used throughout most of the subjects and grade levels has been A Beka Book, which offers a strong phonics-based reading program and aggressive, Christian materials in all subject matter.
Besides high-level education, developing a Christian world view and ethical and moral conduct in students is a high priority at Princeton Christian Academy. Students are inspired toward altruism and showing Christ’s love to the world by participating in various charitable activities throughout each school year. Caring, courteous and respectful attitudes are also expected behavior within the walls of PCA. Parental involvement and open communication between parents and school staff are priorities at PCA as well.
Princeton Christian Academy is located 2 1/2 miles northeast of Princeton on Route 34. Families are invited to this special open house week, but may come to visit at any time.
