All shook up!

The three girls were part of about 2.4 million people who participated in the event, which was centered around a simultaneous Drop, Cover and Hold On drill that was held at 10:15 a.m. Feb. 7 was the 200th anniversary of the last of the 1811-12 earthquakes that destroyed the town of New Madrid, Mo. Illinois is at risk from two major seismic zones, and scientists estimate there is a 25-40 percent probability of a damaging earthquake occurring in the central United States within the next 50 years.
