Book fair

PRINCETON — The Zearing Child Enrichment Center in Princeton will host a Scholastic Book Fair next week. Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily Monday through Friday. The book fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers and other great reads from more than 100 publishers. Funds raised will help purchase books for classroom libraries. The center is at 633 Masonic Drive in Princeton.

Meeting set

PRINCETON — The Princeton Jr. Home Extension will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of hostess Dorothy Johnson. The co-hostess will be Ramona Wedding. The lesson, “The cost of managing your money,” will be given by Dorothy Johnson.

Breastfeeding support

SPRING VALLEY — LaLeche League of the Illinois Valley, a breastfeeding support group, will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in Spring Valley. This monthly group helps mothers gain knowledge and support from other breastfeeding moms. February’s discussion will revolve around, but is not limited to, “The Family and the Breastfed Baby.” Expecting moms are encouraged to attend, as well as new and experienced moms. Hall fundraiser

SPRING VALLEY — Hall Education Foundation will host a fundraiser from 4 to 8:30 p.m. March 5 at Rip’s in Ladd. The menu includes a chicken dinner, fries and dessert. Drinks not included. Donation is $6. Carry-outs will be at the front door only. Walk-ins welcome. There will also be a bake sale and raffle. Any donations of baked goods are appreciated.

Special program

PRINCETON — “How To Communicate With An Alien,” an educational and interactive program presented by John Munoz, will be presented from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Princeton High School auditorium. This presentation is open to the public.

Support group

SPRING VALLEY — “Rainbows,” a children’s support group through life’s difficult changes of death, divorce and loss, will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in Room 129 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley. For more information, call 815-664-1639 or 815-223- 5346, ext. 1639.

Wild game supper

MANLIUS — The Manlius Sportsmen’s Club annual wild game supper for members will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at the clubhouse. Each member is entitled to bring a guest. New members are welcome. Membership dues are $20 for the year.
