Kathi Reed and Aaron Menerey of Tiskilwa are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage. She is the daughter of Kent and Martha Reed of Steward, Ill. He is the son of Larry Menerey of Knoxville, Tenn., and Pamela Menerey of Minnetonka, Minn.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Rochelle Township High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from the University of Illinois in 2000 and was awarded a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2006. She is employed at Bureau Valley Veterinary Service in Princeton.

Her fiance is a 1992 graduate of Wyanet High School. He is employed at Elmore Electric in Dover.
