Community Notes

Fish fry

PRINCETON — St. Louis School will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. Dinners include baked or fried fish and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Carry-outs are available by calling 815-872-8521.


LADD — The Ladd Community Improvement Association will host a fundraiser from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Rip’s Tavern in Ladd. Tickets are $6 and includes all chicken varieties and fries. Carry-outs will be available at the front door and there will be free delivery to Ladd residents. The event will also include a 50/50 raffle and bake sale. Tickets are available for purchase at North Central Bank in Ladd. For more information, or to donate to the bake sale, call 815-894-2386 or 815-894-3553. Proceeds will benefit the Ladd CIA and 2012 Summerfest.

Meeting changed

OGLESBY — The Bureau-LaSalle Tea Party March meeting has been changed to March 29 to accommodate the speaker’s schedule. The meeting will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Oglesby Elks Lodge, 800 E. Walnut St.

Soup supper

SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield American Legion and Sheffield Lions Club will host a chili and ham and bean soup fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ church hall. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for preschoolers. Desserts and beverages are included.

Community coffee

SHEFFIELD — The First United Church of Christ will hold its monthly community coffee from 7 to 10 a.m. April 7 in the U.C.C. Parish Hall. Fresh-baked cinnamon rolls will be served.
