Margaret Schutz

SHEFFIELD — Margaret J. “Peg” Schutz, 82, of Sheffield died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born June 23, 1929, in Broadmoor, the daughter of Floyd and Abigail (Anthony) Hull, she married Dr. D.W. Schutz in 1978 in Manlius. He died in 1982.

She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1947. She served in the U.S Army WAC from 1949 to 1950. She worked for 20 years for Harper-Wyman in Princeton and for 10 years for DuKane Company in St. Charles. She had also worked for 15 years at the Sheffield Historical Society.

Surviving are four children, Danny Bowman and Michael Bowman, both of Sheffield, Linda Bowman Moss of Buda and Jeffrey Bowman of Kewanee; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace Renner of Farmington and Patricia Wheelock of Port Byron.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services, Sheffield, with the Rev. Jane Courtright officiating. Burial will be in the Sheffield Cemetery. The family will gather at the Sheffield Community Center after the services.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
