Driving under the influence

Janelle L. Fletcher, 35, of Peru was arrested for driving under the influence, driving with no insurance, driving with an expired registration and driving with one headlight in the 300 block of North Power Street at 11:25 p.m. March 10.

No valid driver’s license

Karina Sanchez-Rodriguez, 24, of Spring Valley was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and disobeying a stop sign at the intersection of Richards and Erie streets at 7:50 p.m. March 8.


A 15-year-old female and a 16-year-old female from Spring Valley were charged with a city ordinance violation of truancy after several unexcused absences at Hall High School at 8:30 a.m. March 8.


Jamie L. Ferrari, 32, of Peru and Leonel Perez, 47, of Spring Valley were involved in an accident near the intersection of Dakota and Taylor streets at 8:01 a.m. March 8.

A 16-year-old female of Ladd and Patricia A. Manahan, 48, of Spring Valley were involved in an accident in the 500 block of North Greenwood Street at 4:53 p.m. March 8. Petzel was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Deer accident

Dennis G. Miscevic, 56, of DePue struck a deer on Route 29, three-tenths of a mile east of Coal Miner’s Road at 6:30 p.m. March 9.
