KENOSHA, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers will take on the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, at noon April 14 and former Henry-Senachwine athlete and U of W-Parkside sophomore third baseman, Kyla Walczak, is turning Pink for Parkside. She is the daughter of Ken and Stephanie Walczak and granddaughter of Lois Hart, all of Henry, and the late Stan Hart.
Walczak is organizing the Pink Game in support of Susan G. Komen, with a goal to touch as many lives as possible. In the past, the amount raised has been $2,500. Walczak is upping the ante and has a substantially higher goal of $10,000. She is seeking assistance in achieving this new goal which would be a first for her and the UWP Rangers softball team.
Monetary donations, raffle and silent auction donations are being accepted. T-shirts for the event (Paint Parkside Pink) and memorial T-shirts (Supporting the Fighters, Admiring the Survivors and Honoring the Taken) are available for ordering.
