William Gaull Sr.

SPRING VALLEY — William F. Gaull Sr., 80, of 408 Prairie St., Spring Valley, died at 11:37 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.

Born Nov. 23, 1931, in Peru to William H. and Katherin (Kolczaski) Gaull, he married Mary J. Priewe May 9, 1953, in Juneau, Wis. She died Sept. 17, 2007.

He worked at Lone Star Industries in Oglesby, retiring on March 30, 1991. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include one son, William (Julie) Gaull Jr. of rural Spring Valley; three daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Bowie of Flagstaff, Ariz., Debra (Bill) Slocumb of LaPorte, Texas, and Christine (Mark) Angelo  of Spring Valley; one brother, Bob (Bonnie) Gaull of Oglesby; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchilrden.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will  be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Spring Valley with the Rev. Robert Spilman officiating followed by entombment. Military honors will be conducted by the Ladd and Spring Valley Legion.

Arrangements were handled by the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley.
