Veterans workshop

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its veterans Easter workshop at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the post home. Members should note the date change. Members should also remember if they are to donate baked goods or other treats. For information, call VA&R chair Clara Pease at 815-872-0430.

Fundraiser planned

PRINCETON — The Princeton Tiger Traveling 14U baseball team will hold a fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7 at CarQuest in Princeton. The event will include a cookout, serving meat from the Wyanet Locker.

Twins Club

PRINCETON — Melinda Petit-Homme invites anyone in the Princeton area who has multiples to join her Twins Club. The group will have monthly meetings to mingle, exchange information and support one another. To join the club, contact Melinda at 815-503-4403.

Donkey basketball

OHIO — A donkey basketball game sponsored by the Ohio High School Class of 2012-13 will be at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, in the Ohio School Gym. Tickets are $8. The Ohio firefighters will play the LaMoille firefighters. There will be a spaghetti dinner before the game from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

Rummage sale

VARNA — The Varna Women’s Club will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 13 and a half-price sale from 8 to 11 a.m. April 14 at the Varna Fire and Ambulance building on West Chestnut Street, just off of Route 17. Donations may be dropped off from 1 to 4 p.m. April 11 and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 12.

Auxiliary workshop

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its report forms workshop at 10 a.m. April 7 at the post home. Only those program chairs or committee workers need be present for the workshop for Americanism, Chaplain, C&Y, Community Service, Education, Poppy, National Security, VA&R, Membership, Public Relations, Historian, Home Service & Constitution and Bylaws programs.
