Minnie Poff

TISKILWA — Minnie May Shofner Poff, 83, of Tiskilwa died at 11 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at her home.

Born June 17, 1928, in Taylor County, Campbellsville, Ky., to Tom and Bessie (Martin) Shofner, she married Russell Poff July 8, 1967, in Winterhaven, Calif. He survives.

She had worked at Harper-Wyman in Princeton, retiring in 1992.

Also surviving are two daughters, Betty Begner of Peoria and Leslie Burrell of Washington, Ill.; one son, Ronald Dickerson of Germantown Hills; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy and Howard Shofner; and two sisters, Dora Henderson and Hattie Brown.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, with the Rev. Dick Garber officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Bradford Cemetery, Bradford.

There will be no visitation.
