LaSalle County Genealogy will meet
OTTAWA — LaSalle County Genealogy will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Guild Library, 115 W. Glover St., Ottawa. The program, “Genealogy of LaSalle County,” will be presented by speaker Laurie Kender.
Kender began working on her own family history after sending her twins, the last of her five children, off to college. After retiring from a career as a database analyst and systems integrator in 2007, she was able to pursue genealogy professionally. She has done look-ups and document retrievals for out-of-state clients.
Kender has written several articles for TWIGS, the newsletter of the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society. She is currently the historian and a member of the Board of the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society. She is a member of the Indiana Genealogical Society, the Polish Genealogical Society of America and the Illinois State Genealogical Society.
