Lillian Grotti

SEATONVILLE — Lillian Grotti, 91, of Seatonville died at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Spring Valley Nursing Center where she had been a resident for two years.

Born Dec. 4, 1920, in Wenona to John and Louise (Klinger) Campbell, she married James Grotti in 1939 in Seatonville. He died July 2, 1971.

She had worked at Westclox in Peru, Ronken Industries in Spring Valley and retired from the Spring Valley Nursing Center, where she had worked in the kitchen.

She was a life-time member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Seatonville and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.

Surviving are three sons, Jim (Wanda) Grotti of Ottawa, Bill Grotti of rural Princeton and Mark (Dodie) Grotti of Peru; two daughters, Karon (Ron) Mini of Peru and LuAnn Wood of Seatonville; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Barto and Mary Campbell; five grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, with the Rev, Robert Spilman officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
