Free workshop set for April 24

STERLING — A free workshop, hosted by Family Matters PTIC and Northwestern Illinois Center for Independent Living, titled “Positive Student Outcomes Through Partnerships, Collaboration, and Effective Communication” will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 24 at NCIL, 412 Locust St. in Sterling.

Learn how parents and school staff can work together to create positive and productive educational meetings for students receiving special education services. Participants will discover opportunities for ongoing communication and conflict resolution.

A light meal will be provided.
