PRINCETON — Gabe Liebowitz, frontman of Chicago-based alt-country band Dastardly, and Peoria, Ill.-based indie singer-songwriter Jared Bartman will undergo a tour around the Midwest in late April.
The tour will begin with a performance at 8 p.m. April 23 at the Prairie Arts Center in Princeton and will continue with house and venue shows throughout Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin, where Bartman and Liebowitz will perform both solo songwriter-style sets of original music.
Bartman will diverge from the performance format only on select shows, where he will perform accompanied by the string quartet “20,000 Leagues Under The String Quartet,” who recently accompanied Bartman on a tour to New York.
Dastardly is currently supporting the recent release of their album “Bury Me In The Country” with shows throughout the United States in 2012. Bartman is also currently performing through the U.S. and writing for a new album, which is tentatively slated for release in late 2012.
