Support group

PRINCETON — Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will host its monthly grief and loss support group at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Anyone that has lost a loved one is invited to attend.

Pancake breakfast

BUDA — The Buda Day Committee will host a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Buda Community Hall. All proceeds will go toward the Buda Day picnic.

Open house

PRINCETON — “Come Find Your Roots,” a special open house event, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bureau County Genealogical Society library at 629 S. Main St. in Princeton. Experienced genealogists will be on hand at this free help session to acquaint visitors with local and online resources. Demonstrations will be ongoing for sources such as and genealogy software such as RootsMagic and Family Tree Maker. Refreshments and door prizes are a part of the open house. Breakfast planned

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club will serve an all-you-can-pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lions Club, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, ham, toast, milk, juice and coffee. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for ages 5-10. Proceeds will go to LHS baseball.

GFWC luncheon

PRINCETON — The annual spring luncheon of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Princeton will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Ye Olde Underground Inn on Sixth Street in Princeton. The program will be presented by the Princeton Elementary School Music Group under the direction of Vickie Holmes. Luncheon reservations may be made by contacting Jo Kloster at 815-872-9171.


DALZELL — The Dalzell Fire Department will hold a fundraiser to raise funds for equipment and the pay for training from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29. There will be 30 vendors, a bake sale, 50/50 drawing, raffles and concessions. IVAR will be present with adoptable animals.

Dance set

PRINCETON — Everyone is invited to a dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Princeton Moose Lodge with music provided by The Generics. Dining will be available from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
