Auxiliary and Legion to meet Wednesday

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home, 1549 W. Peru St. in Princeton.

Anyone interested in membership with the Auxiliary is encouraged to attend this or any scheduled business meeting or call membership chair Carol Allicks at 815-872-7891. There is printed material available in the vestibule of the post home.

Fundraisers will be discussed along with other pertinent business of the Unit. Members are reminded of the upcoming nominations and elections of officers in May/June and to be thinking about choosing leadership for the new Auxiliary year.

VA&R information can be had by calling Clara Pease at 815-872-0430 and monetary donations can be mailed to Clara Pease at 321 Briar Lane, Princeton, IL 61356 or to ALA 125, 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton, Attn: Veterans.

April is Children and Youth month and the Unit will donate their pull tabs and Box Tops for Education to the local elementary schools on a selected date in April.

Roger L. Eickmeier American Legion Post 125 of Princeton will also conduct its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home.

Anyone interested in membership should attend this or any regular business meeting for information or ask a Legionnaire.

Upcoming fundraisers for the Legion will be discussed along with other pertinent business of the post.

The Legion building is available for graduation parties, family reunions, funeral meals, birthday/anniversary celebrations, rummage sales, fundraisers, etc. For information, call the post home at 815-872-1171 and leave a message.

A light lunch will be served after the meetings.
