Grand jury returns 
several indictments

• Zachariah Williams, 30, of Chicago was indicted for the Class 4 felony of driving while license revoked/subsequent offense. He is accused of driving a motor vehicle in Princeton on March 20 at a time when his driving privileges were revoked because of a DUI (driving under the influence) conviction and for having been previously convicted of driving while license revoked on Jan. 6, 2010 in Bureau County. Princeton Police Officer Chris Gabrys testified before the grand jury. Williams is in custody, with bond set at $15,000.

• Vincent Orlando Jr., 38, of East Pointe, Mich., was indicted for the Class 1 felony of unlawful possession with intent to delver cannabis. He is accused of possessing between 2,000 and 5,000 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver to another on March 25. Illinois State Trooper Kenneth Patterson testified before the grand jury. Orlando is free from custody, having posted 10 percent of a $25,000 bond.

• Jacob Garavaglia, 19, of rural Sheffield was indicted for the Class 2 felony of aggravated battery. He is accused of striking a Bureau County deputy in the chest while the deputy was performing his duties of arresting Garavaglia on March 31. Deputy Todd James testified before the grand jury. Garavaglia is free from custody, having posted 10 percent of a $15,000 bond.

• David E. Bruhl, 30, of Granville was indicted for two Class 4 felonies of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of possessing less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin on Nov. 29, 2011, and of possessing less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine on April 10. A TRIDENT task force agent testified before the grand jury with regard to the first count and Walnut Police Chief Tom Ptasnik testified with regard to the second count. Bruhl is in custody, with bond set at $15,000.

• Amie M. Russell, 25, of Spring Valley was indicted for the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of a mislaid credit card. She is accused of possessing a mislaid credit card of another on Feb. 26 with the intent to use that credit card. Lt. Douglas Narczewski, with the Spring Valley Police Department, testified before the grand jury. Russell is free from custody, having posted 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.
