Mother, daughter banquet
SEATONVILLE — Mothers and daughters will be honored at an all-family banquet beginning at 5:30 p.m. May 19 at Seatonville Congregational Church Independent in the church fellowship room. Meat, bread and beverages will be furnished.
Attendees are requested to bring pot-luck dishes of salad, vegetables, potato or pasta and desserts. A free-will offering will be collected to help pay the guest speaker. The church is located at 110 U.S. Route 6 in Seatonville.
The program will be an impersonation of Harriet Tubman, famous conductor of the Underground Railroad by Marie Etter of Princeton. Tubman led hundreds of slaves to freedom. Her story is very interesting and exciting to hear. Etter will tell the Tubman story in first person as if she were Tubman.
