Smallwood, Rhodes take two: Both Phoenix Smallwood and C.J. Rhodes won two individual events, but Princeton (121) came up short to Ottawa (138) in a quad at Rock Falls Tuesday.

Smallwood came up big in the jumps with top marks of 15-0 1/2 in the long jump and 35-10 1/2 in the triple (35-10 1/2). Rhodes swept the hurdles, winning the 100 in 17.56 and the 300 lows in 49.75 Zoe Mead won the 800 (1:01.78) and took second in the 200 (29.17).

Hall third at Seneca: Seniors Liz Mosbach and Kelle Nett each won two events to lead the Hall girls to a third-place finish in a six-team field Tuesday at Seneca. Mosbach won the long jump (16-1 1/2) and the 400 ( 1:01.8). Nett swept the weights by throwing 99-5 in the discus and 35-7 in the shot put.
