St. Bede wins Seneca Round Robin: The St. Bede Lady Bruins pounded out 38 hits over the weekend to sweep the Seneca Lady Irish Round Robin. The Lady Bruins brought out their big bats in a 11-1 win over the host Irish for the championship, belting six extra base hits and 15 total. The lumber company included Abby Milus (3-5, HR, 3 rbi), Barbi Prokup (3-3, rbi) and Lydia Stariha (2-4).

Winning pitcher Lainie Schweickert (10 strikeouts), Stevie Fisher and Stariha each had two hits in a 4-3 win over  Bloomington Central Catholic. In its second game, St. Bede rallied for six runs in the bottom of the fourth to trip Morris 8-3. Mo Dean went 3-for-3, Ella Voss was 2-for-2, including a triple and two RBIs and Hanna Sons added two hits.

Hall 7, Plano 1: Brenna Faletti had three hits, including a triple and two RBI to back winning pitcher Johnna Schultz (10 strikeouts, 1 walk) Saturday.
