Princeton, LaMoille to play for WBVL titles
Two Princeton teams and one from LaMoille will play for championships in the Western Bureau Valley League baseball tournament Tuesday night in Walnut.
The Princeton Cardinals will ride the No. 9 seed to the championship game of the Little League finals at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Annawan. The Cardinals defeated Sheffield in the 8-9 contest, knocked off No. 1 Wyanet 17-14 in the quarterfinals and the Princeton Tigers in the semifinals.
In Minor League, the Princeton Rockies and LaMoille will do battle at 6 p.m. for the championship. The 10th-seeded Rockies beat No. 3 Tampico in the semifinals and No. 2 Walnut in the quarterfinals. LaMoille, the top seed, beat the Princeton Cubs and Sheffield to reach the finals.
