Locals place at FFA/Vo-Ag Fair

On July 2 and 3, the 12 schools in Section III (Annawan, Alwood, Bureau Valley, Cambridge, Galva, Geneseo, Kewanee, Wethersfield, Orion, Princeton, Stark County and Sherrard) held the annual Section III FFA/Vo-Ag Fair. Ninety-four FFA members from Section III exhibited more than 2,700 entries. The Horse Show took place at Black Hawk College, Kewanee, with the help of the Equine Science staff members at BHE and Aaron Callahan. The Vo-Ag Fair was held at the Henry County Fairgrounds, Cambridge, with help from Henry County Fair Board Member Jolene Craig. Competing for Bureau Valley in the Horse Division was Lauren Peterson (grand champion halter) and Samantha Krieger (champion pleasure) and in the Crops Division was Samantha Haney (champion vegetables, reserve floriculture).
