Support group

PRINCETON — Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will host its monthly grief and loss support group at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Anyone that has lost a loved one is invited to attend.

Car cruise-in

LASALLE — A car cruise-in will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the LaSalle Veterans Home, 1015 O’Conor Ave. in LaSalle. This is open to the public and no pre-registration is required.

Volunteer open house

PRINCETON — The Bureau County American Red Cross will hold a volunteer open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Red Cross office, 435 Main St., Princeton.

‘Visions’ meeting

SPRING VALLEY — “Visions,” a support group for the blind and visually impaired, will meet from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sept. 20 in the first floor presentation room at St. Margaret’s Hospital. “Visions” meets regularly on the first and third Thursday of each month. For information, call 815-664-1440.

PHS pep assembly

PRINCETON — Princeton High School will hold its annual homecoming pep assembly at 2 p.m. Friday in Prouty Gym.

German buffet

HOLLOWAYVILLE — The Hollowayville United Church of Christ will hold its annual German buffet and country store from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The menu includes salad bar, pork and kraut, roast turkey in gravy, ham, German potato salad, red cabbage, mashed potatoes, corn, beans, dessert and a beverage. The donation is $9 for teens and adults, $5 for children age 6-12. The church is just off of Route 6, 10 miles east of Princeton or four miles west of the Route 6 and 89 junction.
