Performance planned

PRINCETON — The South Shore Drill Team will do a standstill performance after the end of the parade in the lot across from the jail.

Blood drive

BUDA — The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Community Hall in Buda.

Auxiliary fundraiser

LADD — The Ladd American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rips in Ladd. The donation of $6.50 will be for all choices of chicken — light, dark and strips. Drinks are extra. The event will also include a bake sale, 50/50 drawing and quilt raffle. Carryouts are available at the front door by calling 815-894-3051 and home delivery in Ladd.

Organizational meeting

SHEFFIELD — An organizational meeting for the monthly Ladies Night Out in Sheffield will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Sheffield Community Center. This meeting will be to set up the programs and speakers for October through April. Anyone interested in helping to organize this is invited to attend, Anyone with suggestions but unable to attend the meeting can call Connie Hahne at 815-454-2060.

Shredding event

MANLIUS — The New Bedford Royal Neighbors will sponsor a shredding event from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Peoples National Bank in Manlius. This is not for businesses.

Meeting set

PERU — Illinois Valley PADS, a local homeless shelter, will have its monthly Board of Directors meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Lily PADS Boutique, 4471 Progress Blvd. in Peru. The public is invited. For more information on the organization, or volunteering at the either shelter in Peru or Ottawa, call Mary Jo Freeman, PADS secretary, at 815-252-2240.
