Show will pay tribute to the music of Buddy Holly

PRINCETON — Festival 56 will present “Oh Boy! A Buddy Holly Tribute” at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St. in Princeton.

The show is a ‘50s-era revue featuring songs from Buddy Holly and the Crickets, like the classics “That’ll be the Day,” “Oh Boy” and “Peggy Sue,” along with songs by Chuck Berry and many others. A special guest star in the show will be The Big Bopper.

“Oh Boy! A Buddy Holly Tribute” was conceived and developed by Steve Lasiter and Tristan Tapscott of the District Theatre in Rock Island. They also star in the show.
