Stage 212 announces 2013 season

LASALLE — The Stage 212 box office now has 2013 season tickets on sale.

Laughter abounds as the season opens in winter with “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” the classic musical comedy by Stephen Sondheim, Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, directed by Joseph Ennenbach. The comedy turns personal in the spring with “The Dixie Swim Club,” the hilarious and touching character study by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, directed by Ellen Marincic. Get ready for rock and roll as “Grease,” the coming-of-age musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, hits the stage in time for summer, directed by Phil Grant. Closing out the season in fall on a macabre note is “Deathtrap,” Ira Levin’s ingenious comedy-thriller, directed by Larry Kelsey.

Season tickets are $55, a nearly 20 percent savings over buying individual tickets. Season ticket holders are able to reserve individual seats before tickets go on sale to the general public. Angels start at $150. For their extra donation, an Angel receives two season passes, has top priority when ordering tickets for any of the season’s shows and is acknowledged in each show program as a supporter of Stage 212. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Stage 212 box office at 815-224-3025 or by emailing stage212@att.net.
