Legion and Auxiliary will meet Wednesday

PRINCETON — Princeton American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 will conduct its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home, 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton.

Further discussion will be heard on the planned soup supper for late October and other pertinent business will be discussed as well. Sign up sheets will be passed out for those who wish to donate supplies for the soups and baked items for the dessert tables. A guest speaker from the senior center will be at this meeting.

VA&R (veterans) information can be had by calling chairperson Clara Pease at 815-872-0430 or call the post home at 815-872-1171. Membership information can be had by attending any scheduled business meeting on the second Wednesday of each month or by calling membership chairperson Carol Allicks at 815-872-7891 or by calling the post home. Printed membership material is available in the vestibule.

Poppy monetary donations can be mailed to chairperson Bernice Burke at 2121 Crestview Drive, Princeton, IL 61356 or mail same to 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton, IL 61356, Attention Poppy Chair. Monies realized from poppy donations go toward expenses for the local veterans projects and the troops overseas at Christmas time.

The Roger L. Eickmeier American Legion Post 125 of Princeton will also conduct its regular business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home. Discussion will be heard on pertinent legion business and upcoming fundraisers.

Membership information can be learned by attending any regular business meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at the post home at 7 p.m. There is printed material available in the vestibule.

A light lunch will be served for a small donation after the meetings.
