RVP announces cast

HENRY — River Valley Players announces the cast of its 2012 fall production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” to be presented Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28 at St. Mary’s Community Center in Henry.

“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” takes a hilarious and heartwarming look at the pressures of growing up through the eyes of quirky, yet loveable characters competing for the title of spelling bee champ. The characters will engage the audience as they interact with them throughout the performance. Immediately prior to each show, four audience members will be selected to join in the fun on stage to participate in the spelling bee, making each performance unique.

Are you craving a fun musical comedy to sweep you up in the action and keep you laughing all the way home? Then this story of six quirky competitors approaching adolescence and three odd ball adults in search of spelling bee glory is the show for you. This clever heart warming musical demonstrates that it can “bee” cool to be smart, and is sure to be entertaining with hilarious antics and a magnificent musical score.
