Jerry Schulte

WALNUT — Jerry G. Schulte, 70, passed away suddenly Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born March 31, 1942, in Princeton, the son of Albert and Marie (VonHolten) Schulte, he married Kathy Kepner June 10, 1962, at the United Brethern Church in Manlius. She survives.

He was employed at Avanti Foods as a semi truck driver and retired in 2007.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ohio.

Also surviving are five daughters, Kathy Jean (Tim) Hermeyer of Princeton, Sandra (Chris) Larson of Peoria, Annette (Jeff) Holaway of Wheaton, Loretta (Chris) Gibson of Walnut and Caroline (Nick) Hamby of Peoria; two sons, Jerry Albert (Heather) Schulte of Bowie, Md., and Tim Homer Schulte of Los Angeles, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother, Marie Schulte of Walnut; four sisters, Carolyn (Don) Wallace of Tampico, Joyce (Dean) Geldean of Harmon, Judy (Steve) Sidebottom of Toluca and Carla (Tim) Gonigam of Walnut; three brothers, Virgil (Judy) Schulte of Walnut, Marc (Carol) Schulte of Walnut and Jim (Cindy) Schulte of Ohio, Ill,; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Schulte.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Walnut Community Bible Church with the Rev. Eldon Cook, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Monday, at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut and one hour prior to the services Tuesday in the church.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
